No need to buy boxes...most of us support friends and neighbors' PCs. Next time they need support, ask if you can install BOINC.

I tried that once but my friends don't want to run BOINC because they don't want the CPU running at 100% all the time

Now if climate and abc would allow there app to run on 64 bit boinc (even if it was just 32 bit app) they would get more science crunched from me. Until then Seti and QMC are getting all of it.

Is it possible that RCN, CP and E@H do not suport vista 64bit ?

@Staf: They don't support x64 boinc clients (yet), they have to update their server software to solve the issue!

Yeah that really bums me out . I have 4 more 64 bit Vist machines and 2 regular Vista machines on the way so until they (E@H, Climate, ABC) get updated Seti and QMC get all my cruch time.

I forgot about E@H. I had 34K done way back from 05 so thanks to adding that into boincstats I now have reached the 100K + club Next stop, top 10,000

I've run Rosetta, Predictor and Leiden with the x64 client successfully too. There's a forum post that covers this that's really good

@Staf: install boinx x86, that will work on an x64 OS too. @Jlindsey: It does work, however you never get pending credits since Rosetta verifies the results on their server, no need for a quoum of more than 1

@Phili and digitalnoiz: If you mean boinc x64 version 5.10.13? Its always running and i have no problems with QMC , Riesel Sieve and P@H only CPDN, E@H, RCN and S@T giving problems.

Vista C2D Boincers: Have you had WUs stop for no apparent reason and show up 'client error'?
