Seejay:thanks! however I used one of those apps on my PC for several days now and they did not look like boosting anything. Should I use optimized BOINC app from thusoft or etc?

@drugelis: do you mean the client instead of "optimized BOINC app"? in that case, do not use it. The BOINC client does not do any calculations, so there's no need to optimize it.

there ar opt. apps only for SETI@home and there the credits are not given the normal way, but some kind of fixed credits, so it is fair again.

I am down from up to 44 hrs to about 19 hrs with an opt. Seti client on an old P4/2800. Pretty darn good.

Now that Proteins, SIMAP and APS seem to have run out of WUs to crunch, QMC looks like an interesting project with plenty of work to be done.

I'm using the sse2 optimizer and am crunching SETI at 1/3 of *To completion* time! Must put the app in the Seti folder of your bionc client

@Sid2 : SIMAP release the batches of work at the 1 of the Month. The size of the batches differs. Sometimes there is work for some days and sometimes work for some weeks available at SIMAP
