Whats with this optimization thing I hear, is it only for SETI? and Gerry a quad woud get you around 1400 in Rossetta.

Thanks to all for your responses. Optimization uses better source code for your CPU type to get an increase in credit and cut the time for a WU. E@H also has optimized code, and I think a couple of others.

My wife complained that her computer is too slow so I just bought a P4QH8 motherboard as a start to a new computer system for her. $200 for a $1500 motherboard! Holds 4 3GHz dual core Xeons and 32 GB of RAM! Wahoo!!!

Once I get the system fully populated and running, I'll be using it for a home entertainment system. Audio, video, TiVo, you name it! And yes, Boinc will be running on all 8 cores! 1 million WUs, here I come!!!

LOL @ Sid. 2 new 4Core 4GB 64b OS and 4 more 2Core 2 GB machines due in this week. Since these are prodction machines they will only run Boinc at 25% CPU load during the day but 100% at night so look out ET a
