Jorick: Google for laptop coolers. I have a lapcool 2. Best investment I made for keeping boinc running on my laptop. I run it on a standard breadboard to keep it off the carpet when not in use.

Jorick: Another thing that can help with the overheating if you want a free option is get this program called "RMClock" at: cpu.rightmark.org/products/rmclock Works great, it controls the cpu multipier which makes it run slower but it runs cooler.

Does CPDN run at a steady rate, or do parts run faster than others?

Jorick: Try putting your laptop on a cooling rack [like for cookies] and have a fan blow across top and bottom. Wally has a nice desk fan for $6.

Dirk and Loriellen - no optimised apps for Rosetta. Stick with seti and opt apps, for the AA !

@jorick:don't worry, the scheduler will start compacting the wu's to around 4hrs, which you can crunch in 2, for the same credits.
