Callahan: LHC@Home (at CERN) has limited membership. Every once in a while, they let another 2000 join, and then close it off. There is no way to join right now.

According to the CIA factbook, both English and Irish are official languages. I also thought they spoke English.

Irish are speaking english although they have a little different pronunciation. But they also have an own language, called Gaelic.

In the SETI tech page, they state that they are producing more results than they can currently validate, so the validation queue is growing daily

you're not losing any credit. You will just have to wait until Berkeley reconfigures server resources to give more juice to the validation process.
