What an extraordinary piece of news.

There are signs on the Predictor forum of a spam attack 18 days ago. But spamming isn't hacking.

Does opening a new forum account when you've been told you are banned for 31 years constitute hacking? If this is what Predictor mean, they should say so.

The so called malicious hackers are obvioulsy all the users who where in the BANNED for Life teams including me and others.
I never did an attack to the site nor I posted there in the forum for the entire affair, I only followed it in the background.
I wrote a first email to him yesterday but got no response yet.
All my new created accounts were deleted too, with the original one DoctorNow with 8.303 credits, which were subtracted yesterday from my total stats like the others who were deleted too.
It's beginning to get really annoying. We should consider to ban Predictor from the stats here when this is continuing... That's my opinion.

Oh as for the 'malicious hacking" i will believe him only if he can get an independent 3rd party to verify the supposed hacking.

That is right I am calling for proof. Real proof.

Either he has it and proves it or he lets us assemble and choose our teams without interrference. That is if anyone wants to go there anymore.

In Spain, the "hacker" term is covered (yeah, same spelling! we do not have a spanish word for that!) on our Civil Code (buch of laws that make up our legal system) as a kind of felony.

Also, in order not to fall into a lawsuits, all media in Spain keep on calling people "suspected" murderer/robber/hacker even if got so red-handed that no doubt is left: the reason being that up to when a trial is finished we are all inoncent.

Therefore, calling somebody a "hacker" is "suspected"difamatory. Writting it down in public media - aka a blog - is "suspected" defamation... and, by the way, also punible by the law here.

I have been reading about this subject for a long time. Never got into that project, never wrote in that forum, but I think things are really going out of hand. May be there are a few people/ex-users here too hot about the subject and should drop making attemps to disturb that guy -yeah, your point is taken, please, stop!-, but I am _atonished_ that the project management have fall in the same trap/reasoning.

On this guy you cannot be too hot. My account was deleted yesterday from predictor WITHOUT any explanation made. All my results where deleted AND all my postings from predictor boards where deleted too.

I was posting very cold blooded in predictor trying to understand both sides. But now this little dictator David Braun made me very angry.

It is censorship. It is unjustified and I think project Predictor should be set under boykott until David Braun is fired!

If one has no access right to p@h, and if one tried to enter and tried to change (or create) accounts, then it would be a "hacker". When one banned for life, and created another accounts, it might be in this way. There is no need to be destructive activities for "hacking".

Is it enough for all to understand what might "malicious hacking" ?

I did nothing malicous. I was not deleted/banned before. I was just making a statement by joining the team "Banned for Life".
I did not attack anybody neither verbal nor in any other action.
My account was deleted because I was in that team thats all.
I was incriminated without being informed and without any proof.
That is known as vigilantism (what D.Braun did).
With deleting the accounts and the WUs Mr. Braun tries to get rid of the persons who don't aggree to his opinons. So he might have the authorithy to do so but never the moral right!
While accusing people (who have done nothing wrong) as criminals without having even proof he is himself acting criminal (defamation, libel and slander)

DLB did never said that you did. He said that some members of B4L made so. Thus he said he did delete ALL members of B4L accounts. That's what I could read.

I just can't believe this is happening.

First all the "checking" in order to take away Wate's credits.

And now delete accounts/ teams without any hesitation at all.

This is not good for the reputation of Boinc.

You're saying this like you think it makes sense. You don't have control over who's on your team, and some of the teammembers behaved badly and got punished. But there's no valid reason for the deletion of the other accounts.

So I too started my last try to communicate with dlb. He has not answered and I don't assume he will. see mail at the end of this post.

And to be honest I don't believe they have something there at scripps I would probably want. They kicked us out insulted us and destroyed our credits. That was more than enough.
If there was a possibility to get them out of boinc or combined boinc stats it should be done.
But I will not argue anymore and I will say my last inner goodbye to this project today. They do not matter anymore.

@terve2 I always liked your loyality to absolute proof. From what I read from you I had assumed that you were no friend of kin liability. I would like you to say that you also feel that dlb did massively wrong with this mass deletion of accounts of participants who only happened to be in the wrong team.

And you even didn't dare to inform me of this. This seems to be very cowardly to me. And I really dislike that you annilihiated my credits. I know their not worth dollars or euros but I did like them.
