I agree with Sean'ster... the Nordic countries should stick together and be annexed from the rest of Europe. We don't need them and they have very little to offer other than ice cubes!

Yes, I beleive the nordic countries should stick together. First we get strong, then we get stronger in EU. In stead of weak by ourselves and then even weaker in EU...

SZTAKI is getting closer to the 11 dimension binary systems, please run your remaining WU as a priority. Guess you'll also see it in the news when it gets updated. Also both my fellow scandinavians and to those outside scandinavia, let's cross our fingers for the launch of Discovery today at 14:39 GMT, coverage on CNN from 14:30 GMT. See you my brothers.

They'll broadcast in on the NASATV as well I suppose?

Gongratulations to NASA on finally going back into space. Lets hope this new beginning, can speed up the approach to reach to the moon and mars within 2030. If the US is not on Mars by 2030 they will most likely be surpassed by ESA who through their Aurora program aims to be reaching Mars by the year of 2030 and nothing later. Prior to going to Mars, they will inhabit the Moon. I guess time will tell who succeed and who don't or at least who comes first. Good luck to both sides

@ KEP: Finally going back? They go there all the time... its just not publicized or made into a big deal because its so common.

Er....go to space all the time, not mars or the moon.

I'm highly sceptical about ESA's program...

Umm, this is the first manned launch from NASA in 2.5 years. They have not been doing it all the time.

@ Gren: Manned, un-manned... its still space, you go there. And really, 2.5 years isn't that big of a gap considering how many years space travel has been around.

“Germany joins the Aurora Exploration Programme...With researchers from other countries currently not yet participating in Aurora, such as Denmark, Finland and Norway having also shown interest to take part in ExoMars related scientific teams, there are good chances that the number of ESA member states finally joining Aurora will increase even further...” - http://www.esa.int/esaHS/SEMPUV708BE_index_0.html

Posted by Rom Walton in Seti Message Boards (http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=17154): S@H has now been configured so that it will not give work to clients older than 4.19.

It's about time they got rid of the outdated boinc 4.13 client

Who gives a damn about s@h, what's the purpose when only looking on a fraction of the sky and not even 24/7 on that fraction? Who says ET is only hiding there... according to my humble oppinion, climateprediction is more needed + they grant the claimed credit, which is also a big missout by s@h.

Back to the Mars expeditions - how are we going to reach anywhere except orbit if NASA cuts all the unmanned probes and focuses on just manned missions? We need unmanned missions to Mars, etc to increase out understanding at a lesser cost and lower chance of everything being axed because it's manned missions are too expensive. Another short-sighted Bush Jnr experiment!

The US will do only man missions for a reason. That is to compete with China. China wants to have a colony on the Moon, by 20something. The US has a priority to do that too.

Is CPDN still have problems with the credit and how long does one have to wait untill credit is granted?
Guest

I noticed no problems in the last two weeks.

Okay, then I guess I don't understand their way of giving credit, I thought they gave for each one of the 72 trickles, don't they? Btw it also seems that there is no problems
Guest

If you look into my detailed stats (EnergieSystemeNord) you can see what their past problems looked like. Indeed they give about 94.5 credits for each trickle, shortly after your comp' reported it.
