Yup, BOINC is great for heating. . . I have my Sempron64 2800+ and Turion64 ML-37 Laptop running in my dorm room, they make nice space heaters, particularly the desktop because it sits in front of the window and warms that draft up a bit

I rent a 10x12 room in a house where the owner keeps the heat down to 55. I have a laptop (3. 2 GHz) and a desktop (2. 4 GHz) running 24/ 7 and they keep the room at 78 degrees.

@PovAddict: Clean the heatsink on your CPU. Mine was clogged with dust and was overheating and the CPU was slowing down.
