illuminating's message lacked an emoticon in the end. . . Unless he really wanted to sound like flaming. Although, just wondering, how is a different mother tongue going to affect number typing?

Well, different notation of numbers 1,000,000. 001. 000. 000,00! Calm down, we all mistype something sometimes

Shoutbox broke it: the number notations differ from country to country, especially the use of point and colon!

I prefer hex notations: Would be cool to read "Crossed world rank 0xFE4DC right now!" in the shoutbox!

Rosetta has destroyed the credit system. I highly advise not doing any work for them in the short term.

Rosetta's credit system was unfair before. Now it is fair. That's why they changed it: there were those who were cheating. Now you can't cheat. The system is more fair now than ever, and people are complaining.

WRONG, Sir. The credit system is completely innaccurate now. Cheating could have been averted by encrypting the benchmarking algorythm. Rosetta has DESTROYED the credit system.

AFAIK the benchmarking algorythm is a matter of BOINC, not Rosi. And yes - they destroyed the credit overclaiming credit system (long term)

WRONG again, there are seperate benchmarking programs, one inside rosetta (by their choice), one inside BOINC. The one inside Rosetta could have been encrypted. and they still destroyed the credit system. Now its based on arbitrary sets of averages.

O. k. , different approach: "I highly advise not doing any work for them in the short term" is offending that project. It's your opinion, I respect that. But I think there's no need for preventing others to contribute just because of personal opinions

Other one's (including me) think that the credit system is better now. Just because I personally think that looking for ET is useless (IMHO) I wouldn't DARE to prevent anyone for contributing to SETI! I hope u can understand me

Right! Just because they have a new credit system I will test it and see how it is now working. After THAT you can say what's 'better'. . .

It doesn't take testing to know that it is horribly innaccurate. Unfortunately, things like MATH doesn't seem to be the Rosetta team's strongpoint.
