Rosetta is past a few hours now off-line. . . anyone know if they decided to readjust the credit all the way back to feb like they were talking about?Seems may be the reason it is taking so long. . .

I don't think projects should be able to change granted credits. . . thats why I dumped CPDN and will dump Rosetta if they do. Thet shouldn't grant credits in the 1st place. . . lack of foresight . . good subject for a poll willy . .

Congrats to Einstein for taking 2nd place in overall points, pushing CP to 3rd!

Well that's a no brainer, Einstein gives it's users twice the normal credit/hour than ANY OTHER project. It's bull^^^^ if you ask me. I've detached my computers from that project. They apparrently don't need me.

@Aaron Finney: Why do you say that? I love Einstein, not for the credits, but for the science, and that's why we're here I think. In that way noone is really worthless and everyone can do something, even it's only a little.

Yes, I think it should not be the credit but science that makes one want to participate in a project. Only that love to science is enough; the rest? I won't care much. It's not the main point.

Altering your project's granted credit scheme so that your project claims almost 200 over any other project, is a WRONG way to get more members. Some unscrupulous people would say why crunch for a 13c/hour project when I can get 22c/hour @ einstein

New einstein 4. 24 app gives less credit but runs 30% faster. I lose 30 credits but run 5 hours faster.

I've noticed the Einstein credit "bonus", but have assumed that they are having calibration problems. It's hard to believe that they intentionally bumped their algorithm just to attract more crunchers. If that turns out to be true, I'm gone as well.

Surely it would be more beneficial bringing it up in the forums there?

Now that the new E@H app is out I think they will be adjusting the credits. They might be waiting on the Mac app (if my tired brain is working right).

my fast . 02: Science is good, but FAIR credit keeps people going. Look at F@H: It'd be nothing w/o intense team competition in the top 5. . esp [H] and those Aussies

Shouldn't BOINC have a pc running all projects, against which credits are standardised?

PT4: No single PC can be used for cross project calibration, the project wide DCF is the only usable number, and is presumably why einstien's adjusted credit twice with the improved s5 app.
