Milestone user ..... no contest then. Go for the following order of preference whilst waiting:

1. PrimeGrid PPS Sieve (if you are NVidia as gives them very high credit levels)
2. DNETC or Moo!Wrapper (if you are AMD) .... both give pretty much same high level of credits
3. PrimeGrid PPS Sieve (if you are AMD)
4. MilkyWay (if you are AMD)
5. Collatz (mega stable, quiet life, no dramas and long life for your PC guaranteed , superb Admin runs it who looks after Crunchers brilliantly, Better for AMD)
6. GPUGrid (stable, medical research feel good factor, NVIDIA only, average to good credits)

Does anyone have any information regarding Dnet? It has been offline for 3 days so far. I shifted over to Moowrapper for now but it would be nice to know what's going on in Dnet.

Is the server seized by the police again?

Could be -- or perhaps not just the server.... Information vacuums tend to encourage all sorts of speculation.

Speaking of informational vacuums and speculation, perhaps the folks over at Dnet have simply given up. They have had a fairly troubled year what with the threat of shutdown absent user funding, and then the confiscation of their hardware at least once and now the most recent vapor episode, along with their tendency to not communicate (perhaps a language issue there) to a largely non-Polish speaking user community.

Perhaps with the latest problems, they have simply given up.

From the absolute informational vacuum which has surrounded Dnet for over a week now, perhaps my speculation that more than the replacement servers have been taken into custody has some credibility attached to it...

The good news behind the demise of Dnet is that MooWrapper (which has been running fairly solid for almost two months) has picked up the slack nicely, using (apparently) the same basic application code that Dnet was using before it went away.

Can you explain and especially prove who stole what? Please, don't even kid about illegal actions. Thanks!

For the record, Moo! Wrapper hasn't stolen anything. Distributed.net Client is from Distributed.net (used as is) and both BOINC Wrapper and Server is from BOINC (both modified by myself).

Well, from my vantage point, I know it operates and provides credit in a way similar to what Dnet did before they went vapor (again). I'm just glad to have a functioning alternative to the on again, off again, on again, off again Dnet project -- and also am please to see you posting over here.

I don't know the innards of the code, but at this point given Moo's reliability, and the Dnet vapor scenarios, I'm likely to stay with you folks even on the off chance that Dnet resurrects itself (without explanations if/when it does which is its modus operandi). Thanks for being there.
