Comments on the following newsitem

On January 14th and 15th I will be performing maintenance on all the servers.

Starting early in the morning (UTC) all updates including the challenges will be suspended.

I hope to finish maintenance on the update server before the daily update is scheduled. If not it will just start a little bit later.

After the update server I will start with the webservers, if all goes well there should be no downtime. However, the operating system will be reinstalled with a newer version so there may be some hiccups after the maintenance. Rest assured that the stats data will be correct and that I will work to get everything back to normal as soon as possible.

Only after all the hardware maintenance is completed the updates will be copied again to the webservers. So please be patient.

May The Schwartz be with me and keep Murphy at bay!

A few messages might be missing, we're now running on a fresh server but replication is broken because of different database version. This can only be fixed after the other server is also updated.

I'm gonna hope that "Account Manager temporarily unavailable" is due to you doing stuff and not something going on at my house. Bad thing is, after choosing the Tools/SyncWithBam menu failed quickly with that, it now shows only Tools/SyncWith (i.e. no "BAM" ), and choosing it again simply tries to sync with an empty server name.

Also, even though I am subscribed to this thread, I have not gotten email notification of your previous post.

Think I have another one for you .... login to team stats as me:

- Open "My BAM Menu"
- Click "My Detailed Stats"
- Click "UK BOINC Team"

.... it then comes back with:

"Team ID doesn't exist in BOINC Combined or doesn't have any credit"

Be aware my personal daily credit at present is "0" - has been for a while, due to circumstances back here [I will restart in not too distant future, a few months] ), in case that "0" has anything to do with generating the error message

What's worse is that it looks like we lost team history. Checked, I can get that back with two days lost.

Since maintenance started yesterday I have been unable to login / synchronize with BAM. The site states my username & password do not exist. So.... I created an account using the exact same information however, I no longer have my old CPID. If I refresh my CPID on this new account will I lose all credit from my old CPID?

My old BOINCstats ID was 3394153 which is still in your database but for some reason is not linked to my username/email. Can you please fix...

You can never lose credit as credit is a stats property, not a BAM! user property.

There can be a few lost accounts if they were made yesterday. All older accounts should still exist. If not, please specify what username and/or email is missing.

Today I got a lot of things done.

All scheduled jobs on the webservers are running. Everything seems to be up, however, due to incompatibilities between the old and the new database software (both MariaDB, major version difference) there were (are??) some problems with some queries which require changes in the database. Will fix these as I encounter them. The most annoying one was the problem with the BAM! user table where over 60000 users where purged because the new DB software didn't like them. I do like those user so I wrote a patch. As far as I can tell I recovered *all* users but problems may persist, see post above for what to do.

As for the update server: the daily is running fine, didn't get to testing the incremental yet. Challenges also do not update yet. I hope to add both tomorrow. After that I will work on getting the host updates to run again.

I will stop working on it in half an hour or so and then I'm going to cook something for my wife who has been really patient the last two days and very supporting .

After that I'm going to relax a bit but if a major problem arises I'll be back.

ctudor/cody.tudor@gmail.com should be linked to BOINCstats ID 3394153. I can still see my stats AND my username when searching for the ID 3394153 but when I try to login I still get nada.

As mentioned before and in other threads, you can have a stats entry without having a BAM! account. Or, in other words: having stats doesn't automatically mean you have a BAM! account. You *always* have to create a BAM! account even if you are already in the stats.

Also, the highest BAM! id is currently 183820. That's a long way from 3394153.

Something strange is going on with the BOINC teams. On the update server the data is fine but after copying it to the webservers the id's are messed up. Not sure why yet.

I'm also having the same issue as ctudor. Up to 5:30 PM Friday, Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) I was able to access my account. Now I'm getting a user not found error.
My UserID is 3635007 and CPID is 9245ebad8437c30f3e16ef0807efcff3. Please help!!! PS. I created the accounting that I'm posting this message with as a test.
