I got some questions from Boinc volunteers about the countries Myanmar and Burma. In WorldCommunityGrid Myanmar exists. In the SETI Settings I found both Myanmar and Burma.
But this is only one country. The former name was Burma, now it is named Myanmar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burma).
Will this be handled in boincstats as 2 independent countries, or is there a chance to join both to one?

Currently BOINCstats shows the countries as they come from the projects and does not make any kind of merging. So if you are Burma in SETI@Home you will be showed as Burma in BOINCstats too.

There are already three users from Myanmar who registered at WCG.

But there is no Burma user exists.

So the country name Burma should be now removed.

You have to ask this over @WCG, Willy is just collecting the data, he doesn't change them.

A few days ago, "Myanmar" and "Burma" were added to BOINC at the same time by mistake.

But "Myanmar" exists at WCG since long time ago,

And there are already "Myanmar" users registered at WCG.

So just removing only "Burma" from BOINC is the reasonable solution, isn't it?

If it's a BOINC problem, you have to ask it at the BOINC forum, this is just a stats site, they only collect data, they don't change it.

For WCG only WCG itself is responsible.
