When will the preferences used with 5.9/5.10 be added to BAM? Specifically, I am asking about "Maintain enough work for an additional [1-10] days"

As soon as I get the details on how to set these.

Maintain enough work for an additional <FIELD> days
(Requires 5.10+ client.)

Default value: <work_buf_additional_days>0.25</work_buf_additional_days>

Using this without care can be a 'disaster' for projects and user. If a user sets 10 projects to work_buf_additional_days = 10, the host will surely miss a couple of deadlines.

Should BAM! prevent this by allowing a maximum of say 15 days, to be distributed over the attached projects, or should we let the user take care of this.

I recommend letting the users manage it. Anything they can do at the individual projects, they should be able to do via BAM. BAM shouldn't be creating/enforcing policy.

I thought this was a standard global preference. If you set it a one project it propagates to all the others and only uses the last one changed.

You can set it as a global pref, at the projects. You can also set it per machine, under the Advanced menu.

Added it to preferences and host preferences.

Thanks! I just checked it out, and noticed a couple of problems.

Under preferences, it "lists Connect to network about every" once (correctly), but when you switch to edit, it is there twice (incorrectly).

Under hosts, it does not list "Maintain enough work for an additional" at all.
