hey there folks, again this question regarding access to CPDN. I cannot access it, I checked the FAQs, forum and the bug report. I checked my firewall enteries, and even flushed out the logged enteries, I also checked my IDS and there is nothing in there regarding any BOINC project... I know I posted something similar earlier, but was away from computer too long and missed postings... thanks...

In order to find the scheduler BOINC tries to download the main page now and then. As long as www.climateprediction.net is unavailable, there might be trouble like that.

@ziggie: they're taking things down to figure out where the software firewall problem arose, so communications can be a bit spotty for the next few hours. credits are a few days away. and what the heck is "slappers knickers"?

I agree, SAH has a "Server Status" page that keeps showing all "Green" even tho' the schedulers have been down more than up the last 7 days (at least when I try to connect). Willy-how does your site post their scheduler status so accurately?

am i the only one who thinks the server status is the status of the machines themselves and realizes that the latest news entry says that they're having some problems with firewalls?...which has nothing to do with whether the machines are running properly...
