@Aaroon Finney Seti is always down as of late. One of the main reasons why I stopped crunching for them. It just became too much down time for me and I moved on to more immediate and helpful projects.

It'll be a database issue again. Major changes with the new hardware at S@h, and the web pages are db driven.

@caspr: Try to suspend network activity at first if your BOINC manager is still somewhat responsive and then detach! But you may also end up with re-installing BOINC completely. *sniff*

@cori: I've already uninstalled/reinstalled my manager trying to get rid of SiLinc useing BAM but as soon as it picks up the cross project ID, it hijacks my manager all over again! it takes complete control so I cant suspend,or detach!

@caspr: SciLINC isn't added to BAM! yet I think, so you have to detach it manually. If you have already re-installed BOINC did you make sure to delete all files into the old BOINC directory? HTH

If you want to manually detach from a project, simply delete the relevant account_ xml file from the boinc folder and restart BOINC. There is no need to reinstall!

@caspr: Not a virus, but a very poorly designed application. There's a lot more about it on these forums under New Projects
