@TurboAAA: I would consider getting a quieter fan. I had the same problem with my new 3. 2 gig p4. New quiet fan makes it much better.

In my opinion if noise and electricity bill are getting in the way: laptops and thin clients(with modifications) are tha way to go. . . . Yes they are not as performant but you gain A LOT on the noise and Elec. bill so you can install more

I will be looking into the fans, but I may need to do some mods to make it work (It is a 4U Rack Server). As far as the thin clients go, I collect old computers to use for BOINC. So its whatever I get.

@ nubz - BOINC doesn't have the kind of programs required to keep me from needing a GF

Adywebb: no problems here. Perhaps it is just a timing thing.

@Andy Lee: Check your message log. They were having problems with memory requirements, and last I checked you needed to allow the project to use 1gig of RAM in order to download a WU.

@hex, I just checked from one of my machines on another network and it can access the site, so I think now there is an ip filter in the way somewhere I don't think memory requirments enter into the equation just to browse the site!

@Dandelion, Thanks! I tried it but it only seems to work partially. I have a feeling something strange is happening with our ISA server. Microsoft. . .
