@Bruno G. Olsen: Thanks for the answer. Maybe when they get larger (only 75 users right now).

@Willy: Not a complaint, an observation. The status reports for the projects tell us if you can access the site as an observer, NOT if you can access as a user. It would be nice if the information was more related to user needs. Don't you think?

Actually, the status is from the server_status. php for each site. There is often times when the web page is available, but the project servers are not. However, if the webpage is not accessable, that usually means the whole shooting match is down.

@povaddict: oh, my bad - I think I must have done a refresh without surfing first - that would make another post with the same contents. Sorry about that

@wyerbyter: are you sure it isn't direct polls to the schedulers? Except known issues the only difference to BOS is down for maintenance equals only here

@WyerByter: The question arose due to Einstein showing good here, but refusing to take schedule requests. The situation has lasted days, though BStats shows it down now.

Einstein's odd. It took some of my "waiting to report" units but left no messages. Now the schedulers down again, but shows OK here.

@annieb: That is the minor problem of relying on a server self reporting. The project databases are up to some degree, but the server status has been turned off, so the complete degree is unknown.

Finally figured out how to run Boinc on both cores of a dual core Pentium. That should almost double my output! Yaay!

@Gerry Rough: I have only 2 computers out of 4 with a dual core processor. So I'll be happy with an almost double.

I also found three inactive accounts. One has 3000 credits on it. That should give me a bit of a boost tomorrow.
