Is there really no way for CPDN to divide their WUs, so that they don't last in our computers for months?

Apparently not. CPDNs WUs have always been that way. But look at the bright side; there is always plenty of work for you to crunch! No waiting for servers to come back online!

@GRough: That's true! But in my case, I would have to dedicate one computer (I only have two) to CPDN not crunching for any other to meet their deadline. . .

The deadline is much longer than the time it would take to crunch. And it's technically impossible to divide it

Actually I thought they where designing a way so another computer could start of where another one left it.

@aguiar: I love CPDN's workunits. My wife's computer was offline for three months but it kept crunching the workunit. When it came back online, I got 5000 credits for it.

So even though I have been crunching for 105 hours and am only 2% done, it will complete by the deadline?

@hautian: It should be telling you just to the right of all that what the deadline is. But that actually sounds fast, so, yes, definitely no problem.

What's about a list of these people, who spent some money for Boincstats?

aguiar: No, the data transfer rate that would be needed to do simultainious multiplexing is to high to be achieved on a dedicated network, and the intermediate files run in the hundreds of megs so up/ downloading partial models isn't viable either.

@Valtherus, a list would be nice but I think they'd have to ask permission first before printing names.

predictor@home will still be down for awhile: still working on new application bugs. No estimate for return. :-(

Donors have a crown near their name in the forums, unless they didn't want to be known.

@ERTW: Yup. That is cool. Also, you can schedule the merging of hosts, instead of sending that one guy emails.

@Ashish: probably a CPID split. Make sure your email is the same on all projects. Then have a host attached to all of your projects and hit Update for each one
