Finally, my new computer with an i7 and a decent GPU arrived. Time to start racking up the credits again.

Well, looks like I'm down a laptop. I knew 85C temps 24/7 on my ThinkPad were a bit high but I got greedy and fried it. Shoot

Stress testing a Clevo W110ER, 11.6" with an i7 quad/Kepler 384 core. A good Zalman cooler leaves it at 60C 24/7.

Better temps than a 17" M17x Alienware I put to pasture last year for overheating.

(I consider anything over 70C unlivable, it would average just over 80C) Desktops, max 60C sustained and I'm happy.

@7.62 For the average online price of that you could build a decent desktop and +1 the GPU!

Already have a few "decent" desktops. Needed one "good" laptop for travel. Small is important; no more netbooks here.

7.62, wish I had your Clevo couple years back. Rented a room in a house with no insulation here in New England.

27 foot Soling, the fourteen feet Enterprise, but Soling was best runner before the wind with both her spinnakers set.
