@s@h users: In stead of waisting your processing power on looking for ET and get roped for credit, you should rather join Rosetta@home or QMC@home, at least they are valueable to man and grant you what you claim. And appreciate your work

investing 246 teraflops in a largely fruitless search for ETI is a huge misappropriation of cpu power.

Why don't you think this way: If it wasn't for SETI, BOINC wouldn't exists. And if BOINC was not here, then we wouldn't have 26 valuable projects

So every project is valuable for someone.

seti should recognized for having popularized distributed computing, but, when so much remains unknown to biochemistry and physics, seti's actual mission is too impractical to horde 250 teraflops.

seti finding legitimate signals is comparable to rosetta curing cancer. in that case, i'd still rather support rosetta.
