when seti first went boinc you could change how many units you wanted to download, can anyone tell me why it's not there anymore? its a bit annoying when u cant download enough to get thru the nite

you still can cant you? It's the connect to server every X days option...just set it to 2 days or something. That should do it

What I mean is before you could download X amount of seconds worth and now you cant. I dont really like my pc connecting by itself as it has a habit of not disconnecting.

Hmm... The embedded "pagead2.googlesysndication.com" Ad-Link stalls the Site for me (doesn't finish loading until the Ad times out)

I don't have etc/hosts under Win2000 *g* but anyway, I wouldn't edit my config for a faulty Adware DNS Resolution anyway :/

So thats what the big delay before the page decides to finish loading up is eh? Seems I get about 7 to 10 seconds of no network activity during load up, and I can't imagine the server is slow....

@Zdepohan. E@H si still in pre-release alpha, they are still working on Boinc server platform issues and application issue, they intend to add mor egeneral users once these stablise. The ride is still rough at the monent there.

boinc (Climate@home) keeps whing about a lack of allocated diskspace eventhough I have about 1Gb available.... any isuggestions ?

to Snorski: Check ur general prefs: "use no more than": 0.4 GB is sufficient for boinc, climate and lhc!, "leave at least" and "use no more than xx% of space"! With 1 GB space you might try 0.4 GB, 0.2 GB and 75%.
