My personal background
I am a long time computer nerd and of course still to this day work with computers at work and home. I spend about 10 hours a week looking after my farm of computers and making sure BOINC is running correctly and not causing any issues with the other software on the computers.

Hobbies are computers and photography. I am a hardware guru or so I have been told and tend to do more hardware hacking than anything else.

I am heavily involved with my local school district in trying to provide a good education for my daughter. I do not support technology in the classroom, unless there is technical staff to make it to work as your average teacher just doesn't have time to deal with the technical stuff and not have the actual student learning suffer.



Opinion about BOINCstats/BAM!
I have access to a large amount of computers that spend most of their time doing nothing so why not BOINC ! I do wish that BOINC was called something else. It has caused my supervisors to worry and when presenting it to the higher ups it is nice to have a solid name for the project. Overall I work at research facility and so they see BOINC as a good thing. Wish that there was a central console I could easily check up on the status of my 600 or so Boincers.
