My personal background
Retired Computer Operator at Monash University in early 1970's, Bank Manager for 30 years, Computer Programmer for over 40 years, B. App. Sc. at QUT
Lecturer Adult Education in Programming, own Computer Consultation business "Computer Know-How" (30 years experience). Approaching 70 years of age
and still learning (teaching myself programming for mobiles at the moment using XAML and C# at the moment (plenty of time to do so during this Coronavirus
(Chinese) society lockdown in Australia.
Other interests:- Contract Bridge (card game), Theology (Religion), Mathematics (favourite subject at school), French language (studied at School and Uni. for 10 years
and belonged to Alliance Française in Melbourne for some time (many years ago). I teach Bridge in formal classes run at my home, run a bridge club (owner for past
20 years) but am closing now because of virus disruption :-( , sing in the choir at church (Bass), Special Minister at my church masses a couple of times a month
(as Reader or Commentator, or helping priest disperse communion), delve into "Voice Over" work occasionally and act as the computer "helper" to many bridge
players and church goers.
I might slow down once I hit 80(10 years to go!)
Favourite Podcase "Windows Weekly" and favourite Mobile phone HP Elite x3 (Still running under Windows flawlessly as at 17 Apr 2020!
Hoping to write some apps for the mobile which will also run on Android and (yuk) iPhone.
