My personal background Retired driver living in East Tennessee, USA. I live in the foothills of the beautiful Great Smokey Mountains. I became aware of BOINC several years ago when a friend of mine showed me Seti@Home. Since then, I have added many more projects to my list and take my participation in them seriously.
I enjoy growing gesneriads for show, sci-fi/fantasy, computer games and modding and collecting old movies.
Opinion about BOINCstats/BAM! Good stats board. Very dependable.
Laird o' th' wee White Hoose: @NOSNHOP: I danne like MS telling me my PCs are obsolete. They work fine. It's MS's own OS (Win10) that's obsolete.

NOSNHOP: @Laird: similar boat, I've two Win10 hosts, #1 will get 11, #2 will stay on 10. Everything else is Ubuntu LTS or Mint.

Laird o' th' wee White Hoose: @m0laki: No need to be jealous. MS is too commercial. Through Linux you get a choice, to set up a PC so that it serves you.

m0laki: @Laird I am jealous! Linux is the way to go for sure!

Laird o' th' wee White Hoose: The migration from Win10 to Linux is now complete. Keeping a single WIn10 PC running due to MS-Flightsim X.
