My personal background

I started to run SETI in honour of my late sister - C. Seema De Zwirek (1945-2002) who was fascinated with all things about space and enjoyed speculation about its exploration. She especially loved Star Trek.

Graduating to BOINC, I added EINSTEIN to prove his theory about gravitational waves. As speculated in Science Fiction - and in real science, they may be the key for travelling faster than light and thus making Star Trek a reality - Warp Factor One!

To continue the good deed, I have now added and am concentrating on various medical/biological projects to help save lives - in this way my sister's memory is preserved in good works and by making the world a better place - "tikun olam".


Seema's name is engraved on the pyramid on the Itokawa asteroid. It was successfully placed there by the Hayabusa spacecraft. Seema's name is out there in space for eternity.

Her Memory Is a Blessing.
