Hello - What is the difference between BOINCstats and BOINC combined? One shows almost 11K and the other 14K.

I jut reset my CPID. Did that correct my signature?

Your user number is now 21778.
Everyone's user number changed about 2 years ago when Willy cleaned up the database.
You can find your signature URL's at the bottom of your BOINCstats page that shows your credit summary.

It does not happen automagically... YOU need to change it in your Account Preferences.

Click the link I made above to get to your Account Preferences page.
Then click on the GREEN BUTTON that says Edit.
Change your Profile Signature there... by clicking in the box that says Signature.
Replace the url/link (between the two brackets ([ url]url goes here[ /url]) that shows in the edit box with this one: http://boincstats.com/signature/-1/user/21778/sig.png
Then click SAVE.
It should now show correctly in the preview box above the edit box and in the forums.

I keep going back to my preferences and changing the number, but it keeps reverting to the old number. Suggestions?

I insert the code as you describe, then when I click "Save" nothing happens, and when I return to the signature info, the old code is there.

There seems to be a possible problem. I just made a change to my sig tag... It shows the saved changes in the preview but not on any of my forum posts EVEN in a different browser or in same browser with a page refresh or with emptying my cache. That could be they way the web sites caches pages before refreshing them on the server or maybe not....

EDIT...... I am going to post a bug report for Willy to look at this problem.

@michaelmastro, I have confirmed the problem HAS been fixed and the changes do save.

To come back to your original question:
Willy and James maintain different stats sites, both rely on the exported XML from the projects, and both import them probably at different times.
There are other stats sites as well, free-DC is currently not available due to some hardware failure, allprojectstats isn't adding new projects for some time, i.e. they have no good maintenance, and mundayweb mainly does sigs. They probably all have slightly different values, depending on the incorporated XML.

BTW: As James is exporting combined XML, his stats are afaik the base for the values in your accounts at the projects, but of course with quite some time lag: XML from project to James, data in James' database, XML created from that, imported by the projects and finally linked to your account, could take some hours at least.

You have to look through your projects to see, where the difference is, and then you can perhaps see what went wrong at which project.
