BAM is telling me that my GPU is missing so all GPU projects are not suspended. My GPU is working fine, I am able to see and type this message and also check the software and it's running normally.. Anybody else have this issues before, and how to solve it?

BAM! is telling you this? That's some fine piece of software then, displaying error messages I never coded into it

I think you are mistaken BAM! with the BOINC manager.

I think I always get BAM and Boinc confused... I am talking about the manager on my desktop. The one that actually runs the projects..

And I tried to find your message box because I reposted the message in another forum after I found it disappeared, I thought maybe I didn't post it, only later to find you moved it here... Doh!

So, do you have any ideas what's going on? I have aborted all of them, closed it out and reopened it but no new projects are being downloaded now...

Have a look at the beginning of the Event log in BOINC Manager
Somewhere at the beginning of the log there should be a sentence with your GPU listed or 'no coprocessors found'
If the latter: What have you changed lately? Other BOINC version installed?

Had the same problem a few days ago. Uninstalled/reinstalled driver and rebooted. Good as new. Wouldn't hurt to update to latest driver version either.

I see this when I RDP to a machine with a GPU. As soon as I am back at the physical console, all is fine. Something to do with the RDP video drivers?

I updated my Linux (Ubuntu) NVIDIA driver today to version 331.89. I now get a "GPU missing" error while running projects. Also BAM does not diaplay a gpu for this host. I'm using BOINC version 7.4.8, a GTX 760 GPU, and Ubuntu 14.10. I tried to roll back to NVIDIA driver 304.89 but it didn't appear in the additional drivers option.Anyone had any suggestion? Thank you.

Greetings,

I am having a similar problem with my two main desktops not showing coprocessors. I just looked at my event log and found nothing of significance. Under both there is no coprocessor listed and there was about two weeks ago. I have reinstalled both OS and the BOINC manager, and I have unattached all hosts from all projects several times and reattached. I have the most recent drivers installed on both machines, and on the one that has my M1060 Tesla card I even tried different versions on the Quadro FX3800 driver. Nothing seems to affect my problem. I even right clicked the taskbar icon and hit snooze and un-snooze and still nothing. Anyone with some insight please drop me a line. Thanks so much.

I figured it out reading another forum. I had installed the last new version of BOINC manager using the advanced option and checked the box in the options. I uninstalled the BOINC manager and installed it without using the advanced option and it worked. I feel like an idiot but I am happy.

Thanks
