I read on the ORBIT@HOME site that I should change the project pointer in BOINC. I added a second O@H by mistake (should have detached the old one first), and now I have two copies of O@H.
I have tried various ways to remove either or both but to no avail.
Do I need to "go under the covers" and remove a set of files or directories?
Using Windows XP and BOINC 5.10.30

PS> The DETACH button is unavailable for both O@H projects as well as several others.

I think I solved my own problem:
I renamed the original file and directory to *.REMOVE so that BOINC could not find the names.
I installed BOINC 5.10.45 and when it restarted it gave the following error messages:
3/26/2008 11:23:19 AM||[error] Invalid account filename: account_orbit.psi.edu.xml.REMOVE
3/26/2008 11:23:19 AM||Project for statistics_orbit.psi.edu.xml not found - ignoring
3/26/2008 11:23:19 AM|orbit@home|[error] Project orbit@home is in state file but no account file found

and

3/26/2008 11:23:19 AM|orbit@home|URL: http://orbit.psi.edu/oah/; Computer ID: 2597; location: (none); project prefs: default

So I have the new version of ORBIT@HOME running.

The old file and directory have been removed.

Thanks for your consideration,
