my understanding (when this option is selected) is that if BOINC Manager doesnt have the project under "Tasks" then it wont download any new portions of that project to crunch...does this sound right?? if so why - when I have selected CPDN to "not recieved any new tasks" has it downloaded another 2 tasks for me to crunch??

if it was in the process if requesting work when you selected that, it will still download the work, even if at the time you clicked the button it hadden actually downloaded anything. What version of BOINC are you running any on what OS?

Im using version 5.10.13...Yes I anticipate that a download that was schedualed or in process would complete - even if I had selected "no new tasks"...However it has been well over a week since I selected that option and only very recently that BOINC downloaded and strted running thzt new task...

givin that that is an older development version, try upgrading to 5.10.21 and see if your problem is still there.
