I've been trying to delete Chess360 for days. It won't go away. I originally added this project through BoincStats. When I delete it in BoicStats it goes away there, but BAM still shows it. A BAM detach isn't possible since "Detach" button is grayed. Any other way to get rid of it? Perhaps canceling the account at the project? I have no active work on this project and am set not to receive any.

My main reasons for dropping this project are:

1. Occasionally it grabs both cores and locks up my machine as I only have 1GB of RAM.

2. The project doesn't obey sharing rules.

Go to your resource page here in BAM! click on the detach all hosts for Chess and then press update. After that sync all your BOINC Clients with BAM!. This should detach the project

I confused the original statement. My apologies. when I say it's still there, it's still there in the BOINC Manager (the display for the BOINC program). It's gone from the BOINC Account Manager (not on my Resource List). I've sync'd many times, but the project still shows in the BOINC program but not in the BOINC Account Manager.

If you used the delete checkbox on Project list, that's probably the source of your problems... To detach a project from BAM, you have to use the Detach checkbox on one of your hosts (from host list).

I re-attached and deleted project from host list in BAM. No reference to Chess360 in BAM. I re-sync'd to BOINCStates. Project still there in the BOINC Monitor.

As I noted below, I misstated this originally. I have no problem deleting from BAM, but the project does not delete from BOINC Manager, the monitor from the BOINC program. What happens if I select "Stop using BOINStats"? Can I then use the BOINC Manager to delete the Project and then reconnect to BOINCStats?

Yes, this should work. By stopping to use BAM! the detach button on the BOINC Manager should get enabled and then you can detach the host. And after that reattach to BAM!

what version of the BOINC client are you using. There was some issues with some the development builds not syncing with BAM! correctly.

Success! The temporary disconnect worked. I now have the detach button back (not grayed out) on all projects. Thanks to all.
