I have used WGC (Seti-@Home) for over 6 years and I started looking for info about upgraded s/w and discovered BOINC, so I installed and read several FAQs to find my issue and have tracked through several forums and can't find an answer to this.

I installed program as initially successful, attached to about 4 projects and screensaver mode operated fantastically. However, now I can't get the GUI to load for me to make changes and screensaver only appears with the logo and saying it is loading but never completes to a working screensaver.

In my Task Manager (WinXP Pro/sp2) meeting all system requirements, BOINCMgr appears but not BOINC.exe and it seems I used to have 2 boincmgr's running.

I've tried installing the program to do a 'repair' with no success; tried system restore to day before I installed program and tried installing again and now GUI doesn't launch after install; leave the box checked for launch BOINC after finish and sit waiting for benchmarks to run and GUI to open but hasn't.
I also initially had the "B" logo in systray but it doesn't appear any longer; I am logged into/as Administrator.

Any suggestions?
