Hi guys, pretty sure there are other threads on this but didnt find anything myself
My system recently stopped doing any work when idle, BAM settings are set to do work if non-boinc cpu usage is less than 50% (I have ramped up to 80% to test, same result)
Certainly this profile worked as expected up until very recently, but cant confirm when exactly it stopped.
Boinc Screensaver also stopped working at this time, maybe related.
If I change profile to do work if PC is in use, it does start processing, so seems to be something with regards to idle detection, perhaps an input device or drive?
Any suggestions on where to start looking would be very helpful, been running Boinc for years but have not ever had reason to get under the hood really...

Looks like your system is doing something as background task that is taking all CPU. Presuming you are on a Windows OS: check the task scheduler to see which processes are taking those CPU cycles. If you don't see anything special: check your system with a good antivirus program, there could be hidden malware running.
You should also check the log when BOINC starts. You can open the log with the shortcut CTRL-SHIFT-E when you open the BOINC manager.
