Specifically I was trying to create a page for theSkyNet but it got deleted without warning (and for what I can tell a very debateable reason) and I can't re-create it to address the reason it was deleted!

I suppose a starting point would be to find out who deleted the entry and the reasons they cited. I can't find it though! Wikipedia seems to keep an archive of "Articles for Creation" and declined Articles for Creation. I can't find anything theSkyNet-related in either of these lists. Have you got a link or any more detail as to when you created the article, which process you used, and when?

I also want to add theSkyNet to the list of citizen science projects (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_citizen_science_projects) but I'm worried it'll get deleted off that if I do it as well!

The criteria for being included in that list should be far less vague and without as much subjectivity as a full article, so if I were you I'd jump straight in there. Let me know once you've added an entry and I'll watch the article, so I can participate if anyone tries to revert theSkyNet's quite valid listing there.
