Comments on the following newsitem
We had some downtime in the last 12 hours due to Apache suddenly not accepting any new connections. The first time was quickly solved but the second time was during the night and was solved in the morning resulting in 4,5 hours of downtime.

I'll be monitoring the server closely. At the moment I can't find a reason for the Apache problem so I can only hope it was a fluke and won't happen again.

Well, it seems the problems are far from over. Apache still has problems and access to the site is either slow or not possible at all. Server/database load is at a minimum when Apache decides to go for a sleep, so that's not the problem.

I have no idea where to look so it may be some time before it's fixed.

I fiddled around with some Apache settings and things seem to be better now.

I hope it stays this way so I can sit in the sun today you can enjoy the site again.
