During a PC rebuild I haddn't installed the Firefox browser addons & I saw one of the BOINCStats adds that said I needed to update Flash, I followed the link & is took me to a page that mimiced the Adobe Flash Update page. as I had just installed the latest I looked closer to the URL - NOT adobe or anything like it.

I don't mind adds if genuine & I know that they can raise finds for free services like BOINCStats, but lnking topages that install spyware and who knows what else? I'm glad I looked closer & am running ABP normally!!!

I hope you understand that BOINCstats is not responsible for the contents of the ads. The ad provider should check all ads for malware.
The only thing I can do is block a add (bases on some properties) so when this ad keeps coming back just let me know.

That being said: it is never a good idea to browse the internet without a good anti-virus program. Even the best websites can get hacked and start distributing malware.
Please do not PM, IM or email me for support (they will go unread/ignored). Use the forum for support.
