I just created a boinc-wide team, I'm assuming it's going to take at least a day for all the projects to fetch the team from boinc servers and then more time for boincstats to fetch it from the projects?

Does boincstats connect to boinc-wide teams directly through boinc or does it only fetch teams through projects?

There's no such thing as a BOINC-wide team. You can, however, use BAM to manage your teams across the projects you're attached to. In the combined stats, you are shown as a member of the team for which you are associated at the most projects. If you look at the stats for a specific project, you'll show at the appropriate team.

The projects update the teams from the BOINC-wide-team page on a regular basis. Then the team exists at the project. When the team gets credits it is exported to BOINCstats.

Which can vary a lot from project to project from my experience. Unfortunately some never do a team import, especially new ones.

When did that happen? I've just been using BAM to take care of my team across the projects I'm attached to, and have being doing that way for many years. Wasn't aware of any alternatives, but I really wasn't looking for any either because nothing was broken about the way I was doing it.

Not quite sure how long this exists but as long as I'm crunching and since joining team BOINC@Heidelberg years ago I know of that.

Well, it's of course not the same, you can't compare BAM with the BOINC-wide team page directly, but it has his advantages (and disadvantages) to have a BOINC-wide team created there.

I see it's recommended to use an email address where you can accept spam, which is not the case with the address I use for BOINC (and therefore team founder) on my active projects. So, I guess I'll have to either change my address on the other BOINC projects, or just not use this BOINC-wide teams feature, as I've already founded a team at the projects where I and my few team (family) members have accounts.

Thanks for the replies.

In my detailed stats, it still shows me as a part of a previous team and also I now have access to the little "team founder" menu, it does not show me as a part of my boinc-wide team that I created (it shows 0 members). Anybody know how I can fix this?
