In order to further decrease my productivity at work, I have been trying to receive stats updates via cellphone. After numerous failed attempts (too lengthy to recount here), I have nearly given up. Any help would be welcome. Help a fellow team member become a better slacker!

I know I'm a noob, but what do those numbers mean? I have tried to enter the URLs but whatever I'm running won't recognize the php...etc.

If you are trying to get the SMS notifications working, there is a fee for each message sent. You have to buy credits for them before they are sent.

If you're after text message notification stats, as noderaser says, you have to buy credits to use this service.

If you just want to see your stats from your phone's web-browser, then at the correct prompt, enter the aforementioned URL:

http://www.boincstats.com/stats/wap_user.php?id=1744170

I tried it on my OLD mobile ( Motorola V3 Razr - 1st version!! ) and it works just fine.

If you don't know what the URL means, well:

= the folder on the server that refers to the statistics

= a program written in the PHP language, called " wap_user "

= in the PHP language, to give a variable in a PHP program a value directly in a URL, you add a question mark followed by the variable's name followed by the value that you want it to have, in this case the variable " id " is assigned the value " 1744170 ", which is your Boincstats identification number.

If you still have problems, just try dumping the " www. " and use:

http://boincstats.com/stats/wap_user.php?id=1744170
