Just a silly question, but I couldn't find an answer: Is it allowed to link a graph directly like that on a website?

I think the answer to your question could be found here: Scrapers ye be warned!

No, I don't think that you are right. Scraping is not posting a link of a graph.

I think this thread contains a better answer to the question.

But I understood he/she doesn't want to post a link but link to the graph itself!
Maybe I misunderstood the term "scraping".

He was right in that the answer was in that thread, it just wasn't the original topic. http://boincstats.com/forum/forum_thread.php?id=1161&nowrap=true#5427

no, I don't want to "scrape" the contend (I don't parse any of the stats). I just want to give my team's users this graph, when they click on it they'll come to boincstats. I think "hotlinking" is a better term. The graphs are not loaded automatically, just when the user opens the website with his stats. The stat texts won't be loaded at all.

Like you are showing your Stats in your signature, I want to show my graph. Just in the same way.

EDIT:

Jep, I was just writing

Take a look at my post below yours. That was incredible timing... 12 seconds difference.

EDIT: Eh, you found it anyway.

Never mind! I had a look at wikipedia. Seems that I definitely misunderstood the term scraping.

If you look at the bottom of any BOINCstats page, you will find:

Statistics images on BOINCstats are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Netherlands License.

Therefore, you're good to go. Scraping would be taking the stats info, and passing it off as your own. All the images have boincstats.com embedded in them, so you know where the info is coming from.
