If you change the email address on all of the projects you are attached to, the cpid will change. Will BoincStats carry the credit earned by the old cpid over to the new one?

Yes, it will. But you'll loose your combined stats history.

so your're saying the individual project stats will carry over but not the combined? i guess i missed something.... that's a little confusing. for example - if i have 1000 credits combined from 2 different projects, after the cpid catches up - will my stats still show 1000? or will it start over at 0?

Yes, your new combined will show your 1000 credits. You'll only loose you 60 day history (the one that is used to show the credit per day, the world position history and all those historical charts ). Those will be reset.

Forgot to mention that the last 30 days historical table will be rest too (the one at the bottom of your combined stats page).

that makes sense. i'm not concerned about the history or graphs..... after 60 days it will re-populate anyhow. i just didn't want to lose the total credits. i'd hate to go from 380K to 0 just because i changed my email address.

well.... i changed my email address through bam and then double checked all the projects to make sure it was changed there also. i did lose the history as expected. not all of the projects are showing so therefore i "lost" a lot of credit. i suppose it wil take a day or two for the new cpid to propogate through boincstats. i only dropped 40955 positions today

Hmm, I loose the 'last months history' also, showing my progress since I started with BOINC at all. Is this an error or will it fix up in a few dasys by itself - or did you just forgot to mention too?
