A little over a month ago I had a hard drive fail. The drive was unrecoverable and the drive image refused to install on the new drive. So, I reinstalled the operating system, many of the applications, and the User documents and much of the desktop and data folders from the last backup. I installed a new copy of BOINC was installed. I connected the computer to BOINCstats. Somehow I wound up with two hosts with the same name for the same computer, one pre-crash computer (ID 378147) and one post crash (ID 839567). The pre-crash host has not connected in over a month and is showing as no longer active on the Hosts list but continues to earn credit. The post crash computer is contacting BAM! daily but is acquiring no credit.
Hosts and have any credits from the from the pre or post crash computer(s) recognized?

Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

I've had similar issues in the past, and have just had a case now, although I don't know what caused the duplicate.

Your symptom seems the same as mine, that is, the OLD host keeps earning the credit, but the NEW host is shown as the one that connects.
My way around it has been to wait until BoincSTATS stops showing OLD host in my list of hosts. I think it does that after 30 days, but maybe longer, since it last connected. Once you've reached this point you click on 'Show all hosts'.
The OLD host will appear in red, and there will be a red cross in the line. Click this cross to remove the host. After this, the credit of OLD host will appear in NEW host. Not immediately, but I did it earlier today and it now shows up in mine - perhaps a refresh of the browser page might have sped things up.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it tonight.

Odd-Rod: Your suggestions seemed to work. The computer is phoning home and is reported as earning credit.

Thanks for the help.
