Just now, I saw this: http://1drv.ms/1DUG0Ao

Then I dived into the last 40 days of the top line: http://1drv.ms/1DUGfvg

Seems like every now and then, large amounts of credit is shown as a loss for each of my hosts, then given back to them the very next day.

What is behind this? I don't go around my house changing my machines' names, IP addresses, networks, hardware etc.

Does this happen when the router at home that sets the IP addresses of all machines via DHCP decides to renew the IP-address of a machine from something like 10.0.1.23 to something like 10.0.1.28? But, if that is causing the negative credit on one day, what make BS then realize that and give it back to the same machine with the same new IP address as yesterday? Why can't it be done without the fall & rise? Like, "hey, if the credit seems negative, I know that can't be real, so I will do this extra stuff that I usually end up doing the next day and report the right credits instead of the wrong negative ones"...

I'm sure there is a good answer I'm dying to hear.

Some morning humor, I see...

But, really, why?

The 42 is clickable and leads to the answer.

That blue font for URLs in the sea of blue theme gets lost very easily... anyways.

Yeah, I remember that, but if this is due to some mysterious CPID change for the host, how does the host get all the credits back the next day?

How about this one? Every day is a new reality to BOINCstats. Seems the country rank calculation is a day delayed, too; better rank when points are down, worse rank when points are up.

Even better, this account has *1* host, it's only ever HAD 1 host, and the stats for that host seem "normal"; credit is positive every day.
