It's IMHO a general "problem" with this former colonies, which are only semi-independent if there is any independency at all.
I can list several of them from the UK and US as well:
Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Gibraltar, Guam, Puerto Rico

And then there are those occupied countries/nations, that are current part of another one, like Tibet and Sahara.

And don't forget Pay Basque, Corse, Aceh, Kashmir, Kosovo, Chechnia, Tamil Nadu....

As Willy only reads the XMLs, and those countries are in there, it's his duty to report them accordingly.
To have countries in- or exluded you have to strt this at the projects fora, but don't expect a solution

BTW: My suggestion would be: Member states of the UN, "International" and "Other", ditch everything else. Or allow a free text field for everybody to fill his own nationality/community as prefered by her/him.

There you have the problem:
I think there are some Corse with another POV, and the same goes for Pay Basque imho.

Of course it's different in all of these cases, and Kosovo, Kashmir, Corse are definitely all the same stuff.
But it's highly political and emotional.

I still stand by my suggestion: ditch all non-UN-members, everything else will only start this kind of discussion.
