Hi,

On the Host list (http://boincstats.com/en/bam/hosts/) receive credit for work done (e.g. 355285) while other hosts do not receive credit for work done (e.g. 288104) - I know that both hosts in question do complete work units for the same projects and as some hosts do receive credits I do not believe this is a matter of the projects not updating Boincstat. The issue must lie within Boincstat.

Please advise

Janitor.

Hi,

i do get credits, but the detailed stats show the same message for all of the hosts: "Host ID doesn't exist in BOINC combined or doesn't have any credit." I told that months ago, but nothing changed up to now.

Sorry to say "the eternal issue" still exists ...

Is there any way to get an answer, here? My account has this problem, and I don't see any solution to it, here.

Detatch/reattach doesn't work. Reinstall doesn't work. I want credit for all the work I put in, here.

There are a couple of reasons this can happen, here's one reason on the FAQ: http://boincstats.com/en/page/faq#51

Another reason is if you created an account here but aren't actually using the account manager, and thus have no projects attached to your BAM account. Or, if you're trying to look up stats for a project that hasn't been "attached" to BAM. If you just want the stats and not the account manager, you don't have to sign up for anything; the stats are freely available using the search box.

Thanks for responding, noderaser.

I am using the BAM, so that was correct. It seems that there is either a lag of several days before the stats start working, or there were some technical issues over the weekend.

Things are good now.

I will say that if this lag is expected, then the developers should put a notice in the software that says so. I spent lots of time hunting down solutions that went down all sorts of dead-ends.

There are a couple of bottlenecks for stats updates; first, you have to have your work verified and compared to that of others, then the projects have to parse and publish the stats, then finally sites like BOINCstats have to collect, parse and publish the stats again. Because of the resources it takes to do this, it's generally only done once a day--but sometimes it might take a couple of days for everything to line up if the schedules don't mesh.

I do not know if this is the same issue as listed in this thread, however, my problem is that I received emails stating that my hosts are inactive and going to be deleted, I go to check my host list and it shows none that are active, but I am gaining credit for the works that are being done on the "inactive Host Computers"! Can anyone explain this, as common sense would state that if you are inactive you shouldn't be receiving credit, so since I am receiving credit for the work my computer is doing, so I am not inactive!

You're getting host notifications from the account manager, your stats are totally unaffected.

If you're still using the account manager, they could be old hosts or OS installs. Or, they were accidentally detached from BAM.
