Right, trying this again :
>1: Be sure to read the F.A.Q. and/or search the forum before posting a new bug.
Goes to FAQ, Ctrl-F "active" yields :
When is an entity active?
An entity is active when it has credit granted in the last 30 days.
Conclusion - it not doing that right on my stats page : http://boincstats.com/stats/user_graph.php?pr=wcg&id=424620
>2: Start a new thread for every new bug.
Yup - did that - could not find anything in the forum when I searched for "active host".
>3: Explain what you think is wrong. "It doesn't work" is not an accurate description.
The active hosts are not calculated correctly - see point 1 or the FAQ for more on that.
>4: Explain how you think it should be.
I think it should be calculated as laid out in the FAQ, see point or the FAQ for more on that.
>5: Provide a URL to the page on BOINCstats where you found the bug.
Any page that shows active hosts really, like for example http://boincstats.com/stats/user_graph.php?pr=wcg&id=424620
>6: This subforum is for STATS bugs only!
Cool, so is active hosts part of stats or something else? Could not find an active host sub forum so I'm guessing this one will do.
>7: Do not hijack a thread with a similar problem or with something different altogether. This does not help the process. Only post to an existing thread when you are sure it's the same problem and you have more information, not just to say you have it too.
OK.
>8: Post in English! Posts which are not in English may not receive any reply/solution.
Check - done.
>9: Be nice! We do not make errors on purpose, nor do we create a problem just for you. If you cannot behave yourself in your wordings your post will be ignored.
Agreed, I comply.
>10: When a problem is (presumably) solved the thread is restricted. Only the thread starter can post to the thread and reopen it.
Nice, sounds like a good plan.
