This isn't a bug per se, but I've noticed over the past couple days that the daily has been run later than usual. The server used to be done purging the previous cache at around 18:00 GMT, but now it looks like it's closer to 19:30 GMT. Was this related to the daily screwup around two weeks back?

And it will be later and later since we get more hosts, user and teams every day and existing users with longer histories.

As long as we don't invest in a new update server the update time will keep increasing. And this is hardly the time to invest in new hardware.

Okay, that makes sense. At least you're still trying to keep up with it as well as possible with the current hardware. Thanks for the info!

I did a quick calculation and I estimate a sufficiently faster server to cost around €1500.

AMD Phenom II 940, 8GB RAM, 4 Veliciraptors 150GB for database, 1 OS HD, 1 backup HD and other necessary stuff to plug it all in.

A similar configured Core 2 Quad Q9550 will be about €80 more, a Core i7-920 (but with 6GB RAM) about €120 more.

I'll have to think hard about this.

Nice machine... Yeah, the AMD Phenom II quad cores seem to be quite good performance for the price. Good overclockers too if you want to do that and have the necessary cooling for it. Look forward to seeing how it turns out!

I took a day off from work today to open up the ol' trick box.

Let's see when the daily finishes today.

Edit: and lets see if I can do it without booboo's.
