When viewing the "last month" column in the S@H users stats I noticed that I only climbed 32767 spots, along with alot of users even though the BIONC stats show the true, much higher results.

This looks like it's attributed to a bug where it can't read stats that are numbers higher than 36768 which is the 32-bit byte limit.

An example can been seen here.

If that link doesn't work, run my username through the search and check my S@H stats.. you should see it there.

Since I don't belong to any other projects, I can't confirm whether or not it's happening there also.

Thoughts?

I widened the field in the database.

This field is only cosmetic. It’s used to sort the tables on position change per day/week/month. The changes per day used for the graphs are stored in another field and are not affected.

The projects have to update for the numbers to change!

I understand that the daily graphs aren't affected. The point is that the "last month" stats are wrong due to a bug.

Examples by Username, Boincsynergy "last month change" rank, and Boincstats "last month change" rank.

Tuur 49827 32767
Rob_G 37821 32767
Bungle 51314 32767
Bruce D. Carter 61019 32767

See the pattern here? It's also quite a conicidence that it just happened to stop at a 32-bit limit. :?

If "widening the field" was the issue, we should see this at the next XML update. I hope that nails it!

Believe me... I apologize for having to mention that "other site". ops: I was just using your numbers, their numbers, and my figures from raw XML to get my point across. I much rather use these stats here at Boincstats rather than the "other site" since you definatley provide better info.

Great job Willy and thanks again!

It doesn't affect the stats at all (I didn't mention it didn't affect the daily stats).

What I mean is this: The position change per day/week/month are calculated from the history of a user/team/etc. These are not affected. The only thing that was wrong was the width of the field that contains the position change per day/week/month. And these are only used for the sorting of the tables on the site, not for calculating any of the other numbers.

No problem mentioning the 'other' site. Zain and I are on good terms, and we keep eachother sharp.
