When I go over to the country stats to see my position the numbers in the frist three columns are pretty well toasted and I cannot figure out what might be the problem.

Yesterday I was #262 in the list, today, #265, but the last day stat tells me I changed 13 positions ...

Bob Townsend, on the other hand has gone up 32,000 positions for the last two days and yet he is still behind me ...

Now this is real puzzling to me in that I have added a dual Xeon system and yet I am losing ground in the stats tables (This may be a global problem in that my Einstein@Home signature has me in the same world positions for all the projects).

Anyway, it sure looks odd to me

I switched to a new update script yesterday, in which I made a mistake. It didn't remove 'old' users that changed to another CPID. So, Bob got a new CPID, his new account goes up 32.000 positions, but his old one is still there.

Above you are also a few double accounts.

Will be OK after the next update. Affect on the stats is minimal (and only for this day).

Willy,

It is always the small things ...

Thanks, I was starting to crack under the pressure!

There is still something broken...

My benchmark Bob thompson has gone up 30,000 in the last month, but 32,000 in the last week ... for some reason he can go up more in the last week than he did in the month that contained the week?

But it looks like it has straightend out from this morning ... now the up and downs look like they are properly calculated, at least I don't see any 32,000 anymore ...

Even better, my position is going up as I expect ... now 245 where I HAD been in the 250's to 260'

+32000 and worse is still possible Paul. You of all people should know

When a user with a lot of credit, say someone from the top 100, joins a new project, and his CPID changes, he will ba added as a new user with a minus position change.

But, if he joins a new project, he (she?) gets a new CPID for that project, he gets a little credit, and then his big project lines up (the CPID) with the new little one: big jump!

Nothing I can do about that, only wait for the new BOINC server software.

It is actually the BOINC lient software that makes the decision on which CPID to select.
