I now am apparently working through the process of getting a new CPID. I am expecting a split personality at times like this, but I was not expecting projects to appear under both the new CPID and the old CPID. One of the CPIDs has Predictor, CPCN, Pirates, and Einstein. The other has S@H, Predictor, CPDN, LHC, Pirates, and Einstein. Is this some sort of update artifact? Are they in the XML this way? Is your DB not updating correctly?

As long as one of the projects is using the old CPID, that account will be updated. During the hourly update, the new credits are written to all combined accounts with project account number xxxxxx, not to the account with CPID xxx~32x's.

When all projects use the new CPID, the old account will disappear.

That sounds like a lot of programming effort that you did. S@H should update on the next XML update from them, and LHC will update sometime after it goes live again, and then I will be back down to one.

While it is nice to always have one complete set of stats, it was unexpected.

You will be happy to know that the CPID will become stable in the near future. Berkeley has decided that a better way of calculating the new CPID would be to compare the signup date and have the oldest win instead of having the largest CPID win.
