I'm not sure if this is a bug or maybe just me misunderstanding it. My daily boincstats combined total for the 10/7/2007 is 3,541 (here) but the total of my host scores for the day is 5,976 (here). I would have expected the two totals to be the same.

Same thing has happenend today, this time there is a difference of 3,573 between the two values mentioned above. It also seems not to be confined to my scores alone. I checked a few other users and the same thing is happening, some times to a lesser extent sometimes more. It seems to be a case of the higher the boincstats combined score for the day the greater the discrepancy.

Host and user stats are not updated at the same time. Host update is 8 hours after the user update, numbers are written to the date of the last user update.

BOINCstats doesn't make up numbers, it uses the numbers from the XML files. If they show your credit for your hosts combined is not equal to that of your user account, the problem lies in the XML files.

Thanks for the info. The eight hours difference between host and user updates makes sense. Like I said in my first post, it was just a case of me not understanding how the system works.
